This is the house in its original location, pre-bisection. |

Here we go. |

Home 2c
Moving down Texas Avenue to the new location. |

Home 2d
Preparing the foundation. |

Home 2e
Both parts of the house in place on site. The right half sits on the new foundation, waiting for the other half to be pulled over to make the house whole again. The house mover said he was very impressed with how well the foundation "fit" the odd shape of the house. He was in the process of moving a similar house to Waller and told me that that foundation did not fit. I was very thankful to not be that contractor. |

Home 2f
The two halves are back together successfully, and now the fun begins. The masons are way up high building the back chimney with original bricks. They did such a good job making both chimneys look old that people asked how we moved the house with the chimneys intact. The back portion needs a roof, among other things. |

Home 2g
The back portion housing the kitchen on this side has its roof. Windows and doors are all in, and now you can walk up into the side porch. A better view of the "old" chimneys and the other finishes in progress make a statement that this house should be good for another 100 years. |
